Making Kratom Tea and its Effects

Kratom tea is as simple as you think, “Tea” but to enjoy the great sensation with the medicinal function still intact, you should know the perfect way to prepare your kratom tea.

Having your kratom in a well-brewed tea form is lovely treat and one of the most potent ways to utilize Kratom. It can also be chewed (the leaves, but that's for another article).

There are numerous ideologies in the preparation of Kratom Tea, (everyone has their own "special recipes") you'll learn your own various recipes over time, which will make your kratom tea more palatable.





How to make Kratom Tea (basic recipe at end)


Preparing Kratom tea isn’t arduous nor laborious it so simple that it can be prepared by a noobie. It can be prepared by putting your measured Kratom powder into your teapot or tea cup.... then bring your water ALMOST to the boil, add the water and drink it.


Numerous Alkaloids are present inside Kratom, so you DO NOT want to bring the water to a roaring boil, because doing so could destroy the precious alkaloids in kratom....so in this instance, it’s better to simmer the water, and prevent it from boiling.




Also...add Kratom potentiators like grapefruit, TUMERIC, lemon or lime into the water after heating, to heighten the kratom alkaloids effects.

The effect of anything we are taking into our system is tantamount. Kratom tea is efficient and delicious with it's amazing effects. It can be a great stimulant if consumed in teeny dose and a relaxant in higher amounts. Users say it can relieve pain, anxiety, even depression. It ameliorates a bad mood and can improve physical health.

Some negative effects of Kratom tea....

The following is a basic recipe for making kratom tea. This recipe makes enough tea for 2 medium-strength doses.


  1. Take 6-7 grams (1/4 ounce) of dried, crushed kratom leaves (or powder) and put into a pot.

  2. Boil 1/2 liter of water VERY gently. (if you boil on a very high heat, you will bring out the bitterness of the leaf and lose the alkaloid content).

  3. Add hot water into kratom

  4. Pour the tea through a strainer into a bowl and reserve the liquid.(squeeze the leaves in the strainer to get most of the liquid out).

  5. Put the leaves back in the pot and add another liter of fresh water. Repeat steps 2 and 3. (after the leaves or powder have been strained a second time, they can be discarded, or you can eat the leaves to ensure you don't miss out of any vital alkaloids.)

  6. Put the combined liquid from both boiling's back into the pot and boil gently until the volume is reduced to about 100ml - enough for 2 medium strength servings.

  7. Your Kratom Tea can be refrigerated for 5-7 days


The main trick to getting perfect kratom tea is to perfect your ratio that you need to achieve your required effects. This is the hardest part, followed by mastering the tea.... Just experiment and soon you’ll have the best kratom tea recipe around. Good luck.

This is probably the simplest way to use Kratom (if you have the dried leaves), and one of the most popular as well. Generally speaking, if you steep it for less time, it won’t be quite as potent. It’s always a good idea to start with less, to see how your body reacts, and then to go from there.
